Saintly Prayers

“Prayer is the raising of one’s mind and heart to God or the requesting of good things from God.”
-Catechism of the Catholic Church

"When we pray to the saints, the understanding is always clear that we are asking them to help us by praying to God, and not by their own power or actions apart from Him." -David C. Ford, Ph.D

Click on the Saint's Name to read their story in my blog,
Saint of the Day!

If you would like us to pray for you, please add your intentions to this page or email me.

St. Leander of Seville

Prayer:

Saint Leander, pray for us that we will always seek truth, and never shy away from defending it. In Christ's Name, we pray. Amen

St. Dominic Savio
Prayer:
Great model for God-loving boys and cherished pupil of the famous Don Bosco, who died prematurely, humanly speaking, but you had already attained mature spiritual wisdom. Your kindness won you many friends but your love above all sought the Master who is present in our tabernacles. His praises you Eucharistically sang. Make choir boys be singers like you for the love of Jesus, our most loving Master. Amen.

St. Frances of Rome
Prayer:

Saint Frances of Rome, help us to see the difference between what we want to do and what God wants us to do. Help us to discern what comes from our will and what comes from God's desire. Amen

Prayer:
O Jesus, through the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I offer You my prayers, works, joys and sufferings of this day, in union with the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass throughout the world. I offer them for all the intentions of Your Sacred Heart: the salvation of souls, reparation for sin, the reunion of all Christians. I offer them for the intentions of our Bishops and of all Apostles of Prayer, and in particular for those recommended by our Holy Father this month. Amen.

If you are a victim of domestic or sexual violence, please know that my husband and I pray for you every single night.

If you need immediate assistance, dial 911.

The National Domestic Violence Hotline:
1-800-799-SAFE OR (1-800-799-7233)

St. John of God

Prayer:
Saint John of God, help us to act out of love as soon as we feel the promptings of the Holy Spirit. Help us learn to fight the little voices in our heads and hearts that give us all sorts of practical reasons to wait or delay in our service of God. Amen

St. John Joseph of the Cross

Prayer :
St. John Joseph, we ask today for your mighty intercession, to pray for us that we learn humility and seek an attitude of service so we, too, may follow in the footsteps of Jesus.
In His Mighty Name we pray, Amen.

Prayer :
Father, your love gave the saints Perpetua and Felicity courage to suffer a cruel martyrdom. By their prayers, help us to grow in love of you. We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

Hello Sharon,

Thank you for your kind comment.
I work hard to provide content-based blog posts.
(I even pay to advertise them.)

I'm slightly miffed, but mostly sad.
It's hard to believe an advisor would find that a 6-cent donation of my earnings to a shelter is offensive!

The information for Bridges was off of those pages yesterday, yet they were deleted today.

God bless you!

Dear Wysteria
That is a shame.  I just wonder sometimes what makes some people go out of their way to be unkind.  I wish you luck in all that you do and I think your information is needed and valuable.  Don't stop doing what you do well.  Why did you have to drop the daily saint pages however?  Blessings to you and I hope you will find a way to do this that others will not be upset about.

Hi Rosie,

I spend hours creating what I hope to be useful content in my blogs--plus I pay to advertise them.  They were instantly deleted (no warning from Play Fair and they did not check out the post because the name of my charity was no longer there--I NEVER posted a link nor asked for donations).

It took just a second to delete many hours of work!

I have had an enormous response to this blog post.  I may repost the Saint for a day.

I just wish I could read my emails faster, I get logged out every time I click the mail link.

God bless you!

# re: Saint of the Day...I'm very sorry!

I know Lisa!

I spend my time learning new things on the blog postings (thanks everyone), posting to my own blog and marketing, marketing, marketing!

I couldn't be bothered (nor would I make the time) with going out of my way to be mean and petty, after all it was 6¢--MY 6-pennies.  I never asked anyone for a donation.  Most people who are interested in spirituality (clients and advisors) already do something to make the world better.

Thanks so much for caring!
God bless you!

Just know your work is not wasted, for it has been heard and seen by the universe and all that need too to advised.

Maybe there is something bigger more profound that will come out of this for you and what your intention was meant for.

What we do not see on the surface always has our best interest at heart..
