Tale of Old Tales
There is something to be said about leading a horse to water, but not being able to make him drink...and all I can say folks, is that if you get water, drink it!
It's almost like finding a puzzle, but not putting it together until you find the last piece first (how can you say it's a puzzle when the last piece has not been located?) (start the puzzle and it will come together....Duh)
Goes into story mode :
A few months back I began to converse with a gentleman on the internet, it led to phone calls and an abrupt unplanned meeting. All was well on the homefront for the most part, but he did not understand why I did some of the things I did, so although he was anxious to meet me for dinner or walk in the park, he was also cautiously taking his time to feel me out.
During one of our phone calls he was headed to a bbq and raffle draw, but he showed up late. He asked me jokingly ,"Am I gonna win ?" I answered, "Not what you wanted, but yes I get apparrel and different things." He proceeded to tell me they were done with the drawing, so he wasn't getting anything, and I said, "Ask them where your consolation prize is." He said, "they don't give consolation prizes. They gave all the prizes away." I said, "Sure they do, ask em." So he proceeded to joke around a bit and asked where his consolation prize was, and low and behold, they gave him hats, t-shirts, dayplanners and so much stuff that he couldn't carry it by himself.
Had he not followed my advice and asked, he would have went home with nothing but a sour taste in his soul because he showed up late and figured he missed out entirely.
Can I lead a horse to water? You betcha! Can I force em to drink? Depends on how pissed off they are! Ha ha ha ha. Got a light? ;)
