Would You and If So Why?

I've just watched the film Cocoon.  It got me thinking would I go off with the Aliens and why would I do it.

Well first off yes I would without hesitation.  Why?  Because I happen to think the boss Alien Walter is really dishy and sexy  hehe.

Seriously I would go because if there are others out there in the vast Universe of ours I'd like to meet them, find out if they really are more evolved than us, find out if being more evolved means they are more enlightened, To find out if beings, who are so very different from each other in appearance are actually just the same on the inside. Wouldn't it be just brilliant.

Anyway it would be a great way to avoid paying my taxes.

I'd go with them for the same reason.  I'd love to learn from them...are the more advanced than we?  Just because they look different on the outside, are they battling the same issues as we or have they resolved some of the conflicts we're dealing with now? I'd like to know what they think of us..if we're more primitive? are we funny looking because we don't look the same as they...if we're way to stunted and uneducated for their liking.
So many questions........
and the tax break would be nice!!!!  LOL

Great post - it certainly got me thinking. Guess I'd have to stay. For starters, jetting around space is anything but appealing to me, and I REALLY LOVE to be grounded. Keeping my feet planting firmly here on Earth would be my choice. But I think it would be great to hear about all your adventures!

I had the most amazing dream around this movie when it came out in 1985.  I loved it.  I worked in a restaurant while going to school in Portland, Oregon. "Walter"-Brian came to lunch there. A great experience and I still remember the dream, and I too would go, as long as I could go with Nick.

Ohhhh !  Indeed, I would, and may have already via Soul Travel.  I believe that many of us have already traveled to the far reaches of the Universes because .. it is truly our heritage, our creative beginning, as it were.  If we look at Earth as a 'seed bed' and 'experiment', we will come to realize that none of us are true Terrans, but have evolved from civilizations throughout the galaxies --- reason for our so many different and varied 'looks' - skin color, eye shape, body shape, etc.  We are all different, yet .. the same!  Yes .. I would certainly look forward to space travel ~~ but would caution any 'would be' travelers to be certain that the beings they travel with are positive, beneficent beings, not negative, dark-side perpetrators.

Walter ~~ YES .. very cute, sexy and h-o-t !!

Dolphyn thank you, wow I hadn't looked at it that way.  But if we have evolved from other civilizations wouldn't we then be further along in technology etc than they are.

Now as for Walter HANDS OFF, he's MINE, MINE, I've just spent the last 117 minutes snuggled up on the sofa with him, he's soiled goods and I just might snuggle up with him again tomorrow.

LOL .... I joyfully give up my rights to Walter; however, feel privileged to ooogle him from a safe distance ~smile~

Interesting point about our evolution because there are those who believe we have 'devolved' rather than 'evolved' .. and this may be more true that we'd like to believe ;)  If you have a chance, check out the Ascension Lesson from Lady Masters posted today about 'cloning' ... now THAT is an eye opener that explains a lot about our evolutionary process and how it has been utilized :)

I'll give that a gander, I'm not sure we really have evolved as far as technology goes, I tell my computer to do something and it does the opposite, and I've been trying voice activation on my daughter for years but I don't think she quite understand it lol.

Like Dolphyn I believe we all travel to the far corners in our spiritual bodies and some even shape shift and fly like the birds!  I believe we all do soul travel and some remember it and some do not but if I had a chance to go and would have to leave my loved ones I would have to pass I believe.  I love Mother Earth so much I just don't think I could leave her forever unless I knew I could return.  Wonderful blog Trinity I love it.

I don't think I would. Because I have a degree in biology and chemistry I would have a fear of having objects injecting me into not nice places, and too much poking and prodding. I just don't like being examined in a glass cage. I have to be free!!! They surely would think, the way some of us behave on earth, might we be a virus or something else harmful to them? And then smartly lock us up!

Well, I guess I'll have to stick with the old man who heads up the Seniors Home and does Medicare Ads..He does have kind of an unusual voice and very compelling...But Brian D in this role is fabulous and, oh okay, you can have him  lol  But I would imagine he could take his pick (gives me a chance!)   All kidding aside, yes, I would go but as little as 9 years ago I wouldn't have..now, not too much to lose..I don't get the impression that they would poke and probe, but...who knows?  Oh Trinity,  in the last season of Charmed, Brian's daughter is a regular as a WhiteLighter and WOW spittin image...looks Just like him except the female version....

Well of course they would! Unless they have several specimans , if you discovered a new species..ok not the movie here, wouldnt you want to see how it works, what makes it so specific and even more how does feelings work..where do those come in? Isnt that what we would do as well? If they were highly evolved they would still want to investigate some after examining what we have done to our planet?  Would you want to let a human pest on your planet to possibly hurt it?

But opening up a human being to see how they work is not like opening up say a computer to see how they work. Investigating another living thing dosn't mean you have to open them up, you would learn far more from them by observing them living, after all our insides may look the same but they don't have the same effect on all of us, and they can't truly see how we interact if we are lying on a slab cut open.

Yes Trinity, but we may very well be distinct in our ways of feeling, our senses. That may be fasciating to an unknown species that is more spiritual and doesnt have those five senses. I believe that is one reason we are here on earth to feel everything. Maybe it would not understand it isn't physical.
We humans, have done the same thing to many species in an attempt to understand as well as possibly "save" a species by seeing what makes it work and it specific to the earth. It can be a two fold thing not meant to be a destructive.

Well, 'films' and such imply this sort of 'poke and probe' fear and many 'stories' of people saying this happened to them...but...This really is just a film and taking it in context, It has no implication of this sort of behavior..But, hey, it's HOLLYWOOD..  The aliens in THIS film I cannot imagine doing such atocities..there are alot of morals involved too..  Like the old cancer ridden playboy who went back to that behavior, etc..Also, Steve Guttenheimer (sp?) was a doll..and the young alien female is Sophia Lourens daughter in real life...Just trivia..

I have to agree...I don't think they poke and probe.  I'd like to think they observe like the scientists did in Cocooc 2.  
I'd like to travel out there, somewhere in the stars to find out?  
Leaving loved ones behind breaks my heart, BUT.. the possibilities of what could be...adn we be a part of it...how cool is that???
