Wallow In It, Or Walk Through It….Trinity Has Got The Wet Fish Out Again!

I tell many clients to change their thoughts to positive ones because when you do this it will help you take positive actions.

Now while this is the right thing to do, it doesn’t mean you ignore the negative thoughts and feelings, this won’t work.  That’s like putting a plaster over a gaping wound, eventually the plaster will fall off and expose the wound, not healed and possibly infected because it wasn’t treated correctly in the first place.

When you are having doubts or negative feelings about something, someone or yourself the first step to changing these around is to stop and examine why you are having these thoughts and feelings.   Is it something you can do something about or is it that you have to let them go because it isn’t you who needs to take action on them, in other words they belong to someone else not you.

We often take on other people’s feelings and thoughts and make them our own, this causes frustration because we then imagine we are the ones who can do something to change them around, but we can’t because they are not ours to do so.

Take ownership only of the feelings and thoughts that are yours these are the ones you can do something about, these are the ones you are in charge of, you have control over.

If they are negative look at them and be honest with yourself about the reasons you are having these thoughts, it could be fear of the future, fear of being hurt or more often than not they are connected with baggage you are carrying with you from the past, work through them and they will go away.

If they are positive thoughts then hold on to them and Wallow away.

Blessings.
