Vesuvian Eruptions !

Yesterday in the deep south of England a rumble was heard in the distance, slowly but surely getting louder until finally the primeval scream of a woman tipped over the edge was heard loud and clear by anyone within a 50 mile radius.

What had happened? Was this some earth shattering disaster that was taking place, was death and destruction happening on a massive scale?

Eh no! just my daughter saying “I’ll do it later” one time too many.  That was it Vesuvius erupted on a magnitude not seen for a long time.  This eruption went on and on until eventually I got in touch with my male side and stormed down the garden into my shed.  (The Shed one of the few male inventions I shall be ever grateful for).

I sat in the shed and let myself soak up the peace and quiet, (as well as the smell of paint, nitromors and paint thinner, the high was amazing haha) and realised the eruption had been caused because I feel so much of my life is out of my hands at the moment, I am waiting for other people to take action so I can get on with what I need to do.

I am waiting for my daughter to do her bit so I can get on and organise the change over and re-decoration of rooms.

I am waiting for Keen to remove feedback left on my listing complaining that the free 3 minutes they give to new members isn’t enough to get a decent reading, which it isn’t, callers are supposed to pay for more minutes to get a full reading, this feedback could slow my business down considerably and it’s not even a complaint about the reading which I couldn’t help with anyway because the caller only wanted me to tell them how to market their business and I’m not a business consultant.

I am waiting to see if my Landlord is going to get my central heating boiler re-situated because of a ridiculous complaint by neighbours saying the fumes from the outlet pipe is stopping them from enjoying their garden, which is strange considering they don’t spend anytime in their garden anyway, and if we are all sitting in our gardens it’s because the weather is nice and I don’t have my central heating on, there is an occasional brief whiff of gas fumes if the wind happens to be blowing in the wrong direction which has happened only twice in the last 6 years.

I am waiting to see if I will have enough money to keep my car on the road when insurance, car tax, and MOT (a road test cars in the UK have to go through yearly) are all due and need paying for at the end of this month.

So what can I do, well I can accept that I cannot and am not in charge of every situation or other people, recognise what I know to be true that I am in charge of me and my reactions to things and people, accept that sometimes delays happen, usually to our benefit even if we can’t see it.  Remember when other people are involved things won’t always go my way and I may have to adjust my plans or my thinking accordingly.  That as long as I do what I can with what I can, I can then rest easy until it’s my turn to step up again.

Most of all remember that Spirit has a sneaky way of testing us on lessons we think we have already learnt, just to make sure we keep on the right track.

We need to explode sometimes to clear the air, but try and explode in a controlled manner, and after the explosion sit and examine your part in it and the true cause of the explosion otherwise you might just continue exploding.

If you need me today I’ll be in the shed!....(now was it two parts thinners and 3 parts nitromors or the other way round  hehehe)

Dear Trinity:

Could you make room for one more in your shed?  I could use a retreat today myself.  I have been observing so many lately being so petty and spiteful that it just makes me tired and sad.  I sometimes wonder where they find the time to criticize others, nitpick about what others are doing wrong and still manage their own affairs! I think that maybe the stress created by world affairs has us all edgy and out of sorts but I think I might look for property higher in the mountains and erect a fence that is too high to get over around me right now!  I am sending you a hug and want you to know there is a lot of steam being released across the great waters also.

Blessings to you

That sounds so inviting!  I will need to bring my five cats, two horses, a dog and perhaps a husband who has been sleeping in the barn the last three days!

Great blog - is that what's it's called?  It makes our chat even more lively.  Would a belly blow work on her?

Oh, dear!

Vesuvian/Venusian eruptions!  They're all the same!  :-)  I'm comin' to shed!

Bless you, girl.

That feedback was absolutely ridiculous, and I think she contradicted herself by even leaving it.  Not sensible at all.  Hope it's removed soon!

And what do neighbors expect when we're "up against each other"?  Geesh.  Hopefully, the landlord will find the boiler just could use a "tuneup" or something.  lol

Funny about kids' timelines, innit . . .

Hugs.  I'm on my way . . .

And may I say, reading back through this, that although we may all want to go to the shed with you, this part seems to me to be the most important thing you've said for growth -- and the HARDEST one for me!

"So what can I do, well I can accept that I cannot and am not in charge of every situation or other people, recognise what I know to be true that I am in charge of me and my reactions to things and people, accept that sometimes delays happen, usually to our benefit even if we can’t see it.  Remember when other people are involved things won’t always go my way and I may have to adjust my plans or my thinking accordingly.  That as long as I do what I can with what I can, I can then rest easy until it’s my turn to step up again."

Sooooo powerful... not in charge, change my reactions, adjust my plans/thinking.  Wow.  Thanks and hugs.

Tezza that is the hardest thing for many people, I think it is simply about not allowing someone else to wind you up.  Blessings to you.
