Money Stress

I am constantly amazed by how differently things turn out if you just stop worrying and being negative. I had some financial issues in the past few days that would normally stress me out a lot. Usually I try to anticipate every possible   "what if" and make a plan just in case each one happens. This takes up allot of time and energy. You can't think of everything that may happen and the one you didn't think of is usually the one you get anyway. This time, instead of fretting and freaking out, I did all that I could do and then let it go. I didn't spend any extra time worrying about where I could get more money or how to juggle the bills. I just used what I had in the wisest way and had faith the rest would work out. And it did.

There was always the chance it wouldn't work out, but once I realized that it didn't matter if something got turned off or I had to eat noodles all week, I stopped worrying. That peace of mind allowed me to be guided to an opportunity that helped resolve the problem. Sometimes no matter how resourceful and brilliant you are, there is something outside of your brain that has a better answer. You have to quiet you mind to hear it.

I don't consider Dr Phil a great philosopher, but I heard him say something the other day that really struck me. He said money is the easiest replicable commodity. That is so true, yet it's the thing we worry about most.  Whatever money you lose you can just go out and make more. Whatever stuff you lose you can get again.

Most major conflicts I've had with my loved ones have been over money. That's so sad because you can't buy that time back or take back the ugly things you said. No amount of money you have can fix those emotional scars.

It's hard not to worry about money (especially when the wolf is at the door), but isn't it better to be happy and poor than to be stressed out and still poor. That stress doesn't get you anything good. I don't think anyone has solved a money problem because they worried about it than someone else had.  Positivism at least lets you be open to a new idea.
