My apologies for not noticing this comment earlier.  
I've dealt with spirits since childhood as the house we lived in was haunted by it's previous owners.  These entities were gentle beings and I often felt a hand on my back when I cried or caressing of my head.  What I thought was an Angel getting into my bed to keep me from being frightened, I learned later was the mother that lived in the house previous.  When we moved to our new home, I experience a whole different type of entity.  This aggressive entity would often slap me, pull my hair, pull my blankets off and shake my bed.  I just ignored it most of the time.  As I grew up and married I would noticed people passing by my bedroom door many times, things moving and falling off shelves. I basically pretended they weren't around.  It wasn't till I got into Wicca did I actually 'want' to  communicate.  However, after many sleepless nights on the Ouija board, none would come near.  Yet I would go to sleep at night and wake to find people standing at my bed.  It's only be of the last 5 years did I actually begin to communicate with them.  Instead of words though, they send 'feelings', pictured 'thoughts'.  There has only been 3 times in my life that I have audibly heard from the other side.  Usually just one word.  My first was "Scream!", another time was "Wakeup!" and the third was "Go!".  Since I've joined the BCGHRS group, I've been to a few aggressively haunted places.  Each time I've been, the hauntings subside and the place is quieted. When cleansing a place I usually 'command' the spirits to leave while I am burning sage(smudging) every room.  I've had a few people email in what they should do with their extreme hauntings and each case is unique so I tend to instruct differently.  So far, each case has been successful in ridding their intruders.

This 'work' of helping others rid themselves of haunting presences would seem to be a life calling for you, since you are able to preceive and instruct regarding situations that are distant from you, and your recommendations are successful. Maybe you could market this service? It definitely seems like a specialization of yours. There is apparently more popular interest in haunted places today than ever, with even cable TV programs regularly setting up camp at Civil War battlefields and numerous other places rumored to be haunted. I don't have any intruders (that I'm aware of! LOL), although I sometimes have a sense that in some places, past time periods are very close at hand.
