We humans are mysterious creatures. Sometimes when we want something such as to get closer to someone in a relationship, we fail to communicate our desires to the opposite sex. Here are a few ways to help you get what you are seeking in a relationship with your new partner. One of the most important things we can do is communicate with the person we are attempting to get closer to, talk with them as if they are a friend. Simple meaningful conversations show the other person we respect and trust them. It is romantic to have that person of the opposite sex as a friend. We don't have to reveal all our secrets to them just talk to them. Ask them about their day, if it wasn't the greatest cheer them up. This shows that you care, and you will be there when they need you. Spend some more time with him/her. If you are only seeing each other once a week, try a different day, and adding additional dates. Open up and show them who you really are. Let them see how you spend some of your time. If you like to go volunteer at the library, invite him/her to come along. Keep an open mind and be willing to try new experiences. We all get into a rut now and again, and that is ok. But when we are trying to get to know someone more it is better keep ourselves open. We can learn so much when we keep an open mind. Maybe your new beau wants to go ice skating, and you don't know how. GO you could have lots of fun. Smile with them, a smile shows you enjoy their company. Be nice, maybe it was not the best date of your life, you don't have to lie and say you loved it, but try to keep a positive attitude. Show the other person you appreciate them, pay them compliments. Appreciation goes a long way. Be humorous, laughing shows your happiness and ability to have fun. Be a little flirtatious, and hold his/her hand. You don't have to jump into the sack, but touching is ok. It shows you are ready to go to the next level in the relationship. You don't have to go overboard and make the other person uncomfortable, just be yourself. If the two of you are getting along great and have open communication it is ok to ask them if they are ready to take the relationship to the next level. We don't have to propose marriage, just communicate our desires more effectively. If you don't tell them they have no way of knowing what it is you are seeking in the relationship.
