I know you Moms out there can appreciate and relate to this statement...and I do not know what happens when we step into the grocery store to buy a gallon of milk, but it seems each and everytime we do, we walk out of there spending way more than what we anticipated.

This morning at 5:30 am, I drove out to the local grocery store to buy a gallon of milk.  As you can also relate, my children tell me we're out of milk (juice, spring water, etc), when the absolute last drop of fluid is gone.  Now, I make my own tea, real lemonade (I'm such a June Cleaver), and I never get to have any unless I'm drinking/tasting the batch at that very moment.  I make about 2-3 gallons everyday.  But back to the story.....

OK, so I'm in the store with EVERY intention of ONLY buying a gallon of milk.  No other customer is there.  I interject here too, Moms seem to be the only ones in the store at that hour anyway. I pass the juice aisle.  As if I'm being pulled by some unknown force, I steer my cart down there.  I survey the aisle and decide I need a V-8! I put it in the cart.  I pick out cranberry juice of all kinds, apple juice, and leave thinking, "OK, I got a little something extra". I turn into the next aisle, look at the health and beauty aids on sale and decide the family needs new toothbrushes. And, OH!! there's deodorant on sale; better get that too!  I proceeded down a few more aisles getting those things that just couldn't wait another minute.

I finish my shopping, get to the check-out counter and pay for my groceries.  I drop them off at the house and proceed to drive to work.  The total for getting the gallon of milk......$50.57

P.S.  My regular shopping day is Saturday morning......see you at the store!!!!

Enjoy your day!!!  Cheryl
