The Pigs are flying now!!!
Ever heard that saying, 'When Pigs Fly?" Well...today is the day--pigs are flying now!! I have my first book signing event, hosted by Barnes & Noble this afternoon. Naturally I am nervous and anxious, but mostly excited! Although I was told that there would be an 'annoucement' in our local paper--they ran a full story on the front page of several papers! Since then I have been connected by several persons that I haven't seen or spoke to in years who promise to be there. Neighbors have approached me in the store, while running, pumping gas. Our local florist, Shirley brought me a delivery in person so she could buy a copy of the book! How cool is that?
Of course I am so grateful to be given the chance to reach out to others in this way--one dream has become a reality! I am looking forward to meeting new persons, connecting with some old friends, and if a book or two sells...that's alright too! Although the reporter will be there with a photographer for the follow up story, my daughter will be with me for emotional support and to take photos for my publisher. I will post those later.
Due of the book event I will only be able to sign on briefly this morning from 9:30 - 11:00 am CST.
