Oh where, Oh where has October gone? Oh where oh where can it be...
It's hard to believe that this month is almost over with! I don't know how others feel, but for me this month has simply flown by! Things have been busy around here...
The book production is moving along quite nicely. This week was spent in conference calls with the design and production teams. I received my first copy of "galley view" last evening for review and approval. For those who aren't familar with that term, the "galley" is the inside of the book formatted to look nice. As an author it is very exciting to view. I send in a manuscript typed in plain font in MicroSoft Word and they "fancy it up"...now it is starting to look like an actual book instead of bunch of words on the screen! It ended up being 412 pages though...oh my, I am quite the chatterbox!
In regards to the cover design, they are still working on it...the woman I am working with seems to have a good grasp on what I envisioned and bounced several good ideas around--I can hardly wait to see what she ends up with for the cover.
As things stand currently, we will meet our goal of having book ready before Nov 15! That is only a few short weeks away! I will continue to post updates as I can here on my Keen blog for those who are interested in the process.
As if the book, parties, fund raising events, and book signings haven't been keeping me busy enough; I recently started a Let Your Heart Heal Gifts & More line of greeting cards & gifts through a company called Zazzle. My new line contains such items as greeting cards, note cards, T-shirts, mugs, gifts and much more. Each product contains excerpts from my books Ramblings from the Heart & Sweet Tea for the Soul. One of my T-shirts from my Proud Empty Nester line was selected as most popular item and showcased on their home page! What a thrill that was--seeing one of my designs with my words displayed!
Naturally, life has been rather busy with so many things going on--but in a good productive way. This year has been about growth, expansion, lessons, and moving forward. With all the eclipses we have experienced these past 18 months, it is natural for in our lives change rapidly. My life has been no exception...
Whew...what a ride it has been! But a glorious ride with changes abound. Wonder what is around the next bend? I am anxiously awaiting....
