Alone on a Saturday night...
Who wants to tell the world why they are sitting home on a Saturday night?
I'll share first...
Well folks, I took my "baby girl" to the airport less than 4 hours ago--I watched her depart on a big jet plane heading to Hawaii!
My 'baby' is almost 20 years old and she is going to be well protected by her sweetheart who is a Marine with two tours of duty in Iraq under his belt. But...she is still MY baby! She has never traveled alone before, she will be gone a full two weeks, and she recently loss her father so her emotions are all over the place.
(Geez, why do we say that...why do we use the term 'loss' to describe someone's passing? It's not like her father has been misplaced for gosh sakes! But that word--the word death seems so final I suppose.)
So here I am my time completely without someone else in the house or due to be home soon! Oh my...I am officially an 'empty-nester'!! Well for the next two weeks that is! LOL
Which means of course, I will be available for calls at all hours of the day & night--given I now have no real schedule to follow! :)
For tonight, I plan to be available for calls from 6 p.m. - 11 p.m. CST with short breaks...look forward to hearing others' stories of why they are home on a Saturday night!
