Tickle Me Silly 'Fertility' Tonga Tortoise Tuesday
So you love traveling, checking out where the locals 'go' and the hidden mysteries woven into art, culture, and treasured family values and tradition. On Tonga you can party and drink kava at festivals till you drop, be
impressed by the Sunday church turn outs, and then escape to deserted
beaches where, between snorkeling in untouched coral gardens and
sipping coconut juice, the most you need do is watch the waves slap
against the shore.
The
most comfortable time to visit this most delicious region is during the dry season
between May and October. Not surprisingly, this is when most of the
major festivals are held. It is also considered to be the region's high
season, though there isn't necessarily much difference in costs. The wet season (ostensibly its low season) lasts from November to
April. March tends to be the wettest month, especially in Vava'u.
Remember, though, that most precipitation occurs at night and the main
discomfort will be caused by a rise in the lethargy-inducing heat and
humidity. Tonga lies squarely within the South Pacific's notorious
cyclone belt. The season for tropical storms and cyclones is between
November and March. Cyclones seem to occur, on average, every 10 to 15
years. And you definitely don't want to be 'caught' in a cyclone without the proper gear and instructions----in fact, better to avoid them altogether. :)
If you plan to come during the December-January holiday period, when
huge numbers of Tongans return for the holidays (mostly from New
Zealand, Australia and the USA), it's wise to book flights well in
advance. Safe better than sorry, visit Tonga during the summer months say, 'now' in June! A most delightfully DRY time you'll have for sure. And be sure to pick up a Tonga Tortoise or at least a picture or poster of this timeless island whimsical creature while visiting as you'll delight in the prosperity, gain, influence, fertility, abundance and magical aura this Tonga Tortoise brings to your life! And if you cannot visit Tonga today, then escape to the Island of Tonga today with creative visual imagery-----perhaps this is where you'll meet your soul mate? You just never know. . .
Until you go! :)
And perhaps . . .you'll soon find out!
